Registration

MBVFC offers registration to players aged 5 and over. Registration opens each year on February 1st and we encourage players to register early to ensure placement into teams and to help with early appointment of coaches.

The club participates in Non Competitive Miniroos for players age 5-11, graded Youth Competitions for players aged 12-17, and Senior Competition for open aged players (minimum age 14 yrs +)

We try to ensure that all of our teams have coaches appointed and supervised by our Technical Director. Where trained coaches are unavailable, we assist parents for the youngest Miniroos teams by facilitating coach education opportunities and providing mentoring.

Female players may participate in either Female only or Mixed teams at their own discretion. Our Female Participation Officer ensures that all female players are placed in the most appropriate teams.

Our Registrar and our Junior Coaching Co-ordinator will work to ensure that all registered Miniroos players find places in teams. For Youth and Senior football, selection of players into competitive grades will be at the discretion of coaching staff, on the basis of trials and other criteria.

Our member protection officer will ensure that all players are supervised safely and appropriately.

We are a development focused club and make every effort to make new and learning players feel welcome and included. We also offer Social registrations for people with special needs (Football4All) or players only interested in training and social activities (Social Registration).

Fees include duties set by Regional and National governing bodies, with provisions for Insurance levies, Administration, Referees and Fund contributions. A small portion of the contribution goes towards the club for operational expenses, including maintenance and repairs or equipment and stock.

REGISTRATION FAQ'S

How will I know when to start training/playing?

The club communicates all information to it’s members when it becomes available by email. Coaches will also communicate by email with their players once appointed, and will often encourage parents or players to use chat groups such as Messenger or Whatsapp.

The club also encourages all members to use Stack Teamapp on their phones (download on Android or iOS) for push notification on all urgent communications, such as amendments to fixtures, field closures, or other administration messaging.

What equipment do I need?

All players are required to purchase their own Club socks and shorts (available at Stewarts Menswear in Mullumbimby town center), football boots & shinpads.

Team Jerseys will be provided by the coach but remain the property of the club.
