A New Era with Jonathan Flantz

A New Era with Jonathan Flantz

1/2/2012

_A strong first team squad and the fostering of stronger links between the junior and senior clubs are a priority for 2012, according to new head coach Jonathan Flantz.
A long standing senior player and well respected junior coach at the Mullum club, Jonathan was appointed Valleys’ head coach and technical director of coaching at a recent meeting of the club executive.
He has many years of both playing and coaching experience and currently holds a number of coaching credentials including the Asian Football Confederation and  Football Federation of Australia C-Certificate coaching licence. Club officials believe Jonathan will add a new dimension to their first team squad. In addition to his duties as first team coach, Jonathan has a long term vision for the club. This vision includes training sessions for the existing Junior and Youth coaches, pre-season training and ongoing support sessions for these coaches and their teams to enhance their ability and enjoyment of the world’s greatest game. He recognises that as well as coaches that know the game well and have played themselves, there are a number of junior coaches who have not and he is particularly focussed on supporting them in their development.
Mullum is a family club and the role of parents and the wider community is vitally important to the future of the club.  Jonathan will also oversee the development of the clubs online coaching resources.

Anybody that has played with or against Jonathan would know him as a person of great enthusiasm, patience and fairness.
His coaching philosophy is based on developing teams and players which are comfortable on the ball, enjoy possession, build up from the back, and play attractive and creative football.
We are looking forward to the new season!
