Please note that this is currently a draft page and absolutely subject to change. Saturday afternoon saw the Grade 12 grading session at Byron Regional Sports Centre, and 11 players were selected for Grade 12 A by MBVFC Head Coach Jonathan Flantz and the Grade 12 coaches.
There are three places left in the squad, which will be contested in a second grading session by an already selected group of players who have already been invited, at Pine Avenue in Mullumbimby on Thursday 14 March from 3.30-5.00pm, and again Jonathan Flantz will assess the players with the coaches. The first Grade 12 A training session for the already selected players will also take place at the same time at Pine Avenue in Mullumbimby on that day. Anyone signing up from now cannot be guaranteed a spot in a team at MBVFC any more, as the teams are now full in terms of numbers.
Therefore, anyone signing on from now should consider himself or herself to be on the waiting list for a team. If we manage to make additional teams with more players signing on, then we will try, but we would then also need coaches for these additional teams. "Fullness" is much more relevant to all Grades from 12 to seniors, as we have to name the teams very soon. We can wait a lot longer with all grades from Grade 11 and down, as these teams only start playing in early May. We still expect quite a few players signing on for those younger grades. Please note due to the continuing wet weather we have scheduled the grading session for Grade 12 for Saturday, 09 March 2013, indoor at the Byron Bay Regional Sport Centre.
We will run a series of trials and five-minute each way games to assess players ability and suitability for A or B grade teams. We will commence at 2.00pm and run until 3.30pm. All age relevant players welcome, male and female. Please come dressed to play indoor soccer, with shin pads and water bottles, but with soft sole/runners/futsal shoes….no soccer boots with studs! Please arrive on time so we can start promptly at 2.00pm. If you are yet to register then you can still do either online by going to http://myfootballclub.com.au/index.php?id=43. Please help spread the word to all interested. Any issues, please do not hesitate to contact me. Cheers, Rob Blackwell Mob: 0408664352 All competitive teams, which are Grade 12 to seniors, are ready to start training as soon as the fields are open.

May 4th: first Saturday of regular games The All 12s training session that was originally planned for Sat 16 Feb, but was rained out has now been rescheduled for Thursday, 28 February, 3.30-5pm at Pine Avenue.
Ideally, all 12s players should attend to give the coaches an idea of how to organise the teams, training times, express preferences, etc. |
