Our Women team went down 0-2 to a strong Byron side Great effort from everyone, in particular GK and Back line. Player of the match: Bree Moseley and Yazmin Baird-Watson Whilst the 16s won 2-1 v Lismore Thistles Goals from Tadhg Nelson and Rowan Blackwell Player of the match: Oscar Soper Also our Mens Div 1 got a well earnt draw over at Nimbin. Great night at Pine Ave last night. Well done Jon for coming on board after a mammoth flight home.
Our Div 2 Mens went down 0-2 to Ocean Shores which is never an easy defeat to swallow ... whilst our top ladies team won their match up against Lismore Workers 3-2 in a roller coaster of a game: How exciting is it to have Stephanie Foreman back at the club this season. A wonderful player and an added bonus in a wonderful squad. Go the Valleys! :) Excellent news: Pine Ave is OPEN and ready for football. Tomorrow evening (Tues) sees both our top men and women's teams playing at home. The Div1 men play a derby against Ocean Shores which should be a fantastic encounter at 6pm whilst our Div2 Ladies play Lismore Worker at 8pm. Come on down and cheer on our teams and check out how good Pine Ave is looking. :)
This weekend coming (21st / 22nd ) sees Anzac and Callan Mcmillan finals in Lismore featuring MBVFC teams. So why not bring yr self and yr family down to support our men and women in finals football.
Our women play Byron Bay on Friday night 5.45pm Kick off. Our Men ( under 16s) play Saturday 10.30am Kick off at Oakes Oval Lismore. Good luck all. |
