From our reporter at Lennox Head:
"One of our few teams to play today has got the season off to a flier. The Grade 12 Div 2 Stingrays had an early morning kick off at Lennox and posted an emphatic 7-1 win. A superb hat-trick from Sara Santos was the stand out performance." Well done for an awesome start to the 2012 season! All MBVFC home games are officially postponed as the fields will not be playable.

I am sure most of you cannot wait to start the season after six months off. Neither can I :)
Regardless of whether our fields will be dry or not, the Football Far North Coast (FFNC) season will kick off this Saturday at 9am. You can see all the club fixtures using our Web site and pointing to Calendar, and then clicking Fixtures. Click the link there to open the FFNC Web site with all our club fixtures, and then also the results of the competitive games. This fixture list is usually authoritative, as FFNC, our governing body, update this list as soon as there are changes. To see whether our fields are open, check our home page or the Byron Shire Ground information hotline at 02 6626 7111. Both are maintained by ourselves. We try to make a decision about the field status early: Friday night for the weekend, and around 14:00h during the week. From the club committee, we wish everyone a great season with heaps of fun and some great football. For any questions, complaints, concerns, feedback or praise, please contact us. See you out there. Apart from the odd spot here and there, sign-on is now closed. If you still want to sign on, get in touch.
