If needed, we can now add players to our ANZAC and McMillan Cup squads until Thursday 14 March, which is just before the last pool game.
While this is nice, we still want you to sign up now to be able to pick you this weekend for our first fixture, if you're interested. Fields are now open for games and training. Also tonight is the last chance for senior men to sign on and pay to be in the Cup squads. First games this weekend, so get in now!
MESSAGE FROM RELAY FOR LIFE ORGANISOR
Dear Sir / Madam, I am writing to inform you of Lismore's upcoming Relay for Life, a great community event which may be of interest to your club and its members. Relay for Life is an overnight, community event where teams of 10-15 participate in a relay-style walk or run to raise funds for the Cancer Council. The event brings the whole community together for a night of fun, entertainment, celebration and remembrance. Relays are truly amazing occasions where tears are shed, hopes are raised, fun is had and friendships are forged. Some people do it in memory of a loved one who has passed away from cancer. Some people do it to show how proud they are at having survived cancer. Some use it to show they are strong enough to beat cancer and some just want to be involved and make a difference. Whatever your reasons, you'll never forget your first Relay. Why not get a group together (no better team building exercise) and share something special. Lismore's Relay for Life commences at 2pm on 28 April at Southern Cross University. See the link below for further details. http://relay.cancercouncil.com.au/2012/lismore__villages_2012 From Northern NSW Football:
Enter our competition for your chance to win. The Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) Girls Football Mascot needs a name and we need your help! NNSWF is launching a competition to name our Girls Football Mascot. The competition is open to all Girls playing Optus small sided football (under 6’s to under 11’s) within Northern NSW Football Member Zones. To be eligible girls must be registered to a club for the 2012 season. To enter please fill out the Competition Form on the Northern NSW Football website specifying the name chosen and in 25 words or less why you think our Girls Football Mascot would suit your chosen name. One finalist will be selected from each of the seven NNSWF Member Zones and the final seven entries will be posted on the Northern NSW Football website and Facebook page to a public vote. The name with the highest number of votes will be determined the winner! Each of the seven finalists will receive a small football prize pack, and their player profile will be featured on the Northern NSW Football website during Girls Football Week. The final winner will receive a Northern NSW Football Football Pack, including a pair of football boots, training shirt, a football and a set of pop-up goals. Hurry, entries close on Friday 16th March at 12pm. This brochure issued by Northern NSW Football covers mostly accidents and claim procedures.
Download it from our Downloads page under Clubhouse. As we have to name squads for the ANZAC Cup games for our two teams on Monday, make sure you sign on this week Thursday to have chance to be part of it.
However, you can of course still sign on for 2012 after Thursday, however you will not be able to play in the Cup this year. As both fields are now waterlogged, they are closed until further notice for all activities.
Field 1 is still playable, while Field 2 is now closed as it is waterlogged and closed for all games and training.
Field 1 is the one closer to Pine Avenue. We registered two teams in the ANZAC Cup 2012, and one in the women's McMillan Cup.
