MBVFC Women's team on the pitch

Women's Football

One club, every age, every body — proud to play in the Northern Rivers

A Strong Culture

Win, lose or draw, Mullumbimby FC Women's teams pride ourselves on our on-field behaviour and culture as much as our pitch performance.

It is important players feel supported, safe, and can shine no matter their skill level, age or background. Our reputation in the Football Far North Coast (FFNC) competition is that of a fair and fun club that models good sportspersonship — and expects the same from our opponents, officials and visitors.

Respectful

We pride ourselves on our on-field behaviour and culture as much as our results. Every player should feel supported, safe and able to shine — whatever their skill level, age or background. We model good sportspersonship and expect the same from opponents, officials and visitors.

Inclusive

Our women's squad ranges from 14 to 62 years and welcomes diversity in any shape, nationality, ability and sexuality. We strive to influence club and competition decisions based on gender equality, equity and club spirit — not historical patriarchy and competitiveness. We honour Female Football Week and Pride Round each year with a small but significant event, and have recently developed a Hardship Fund to assist players who need support with registration fees.

Integrity & Teamwork

Coaching in our women's squad is underpinned by a strength-based approach, where all players are encouraged to do their best, keep showing up, and build on their skills each week and each year. Open communication between players and coaching staff means concerns or requests can be discussed easily and escalated quickly with the club if needed.

Increasing female representation in the match-official space is something MBVFC would like to work towards. If you're interested in refereeing, please get in touch.
