Football Far North Coast (FFNC), our governing body, have released the attached statement about player registration fees in soccer, in particular in Northern NSW. The general perception by the public is that soccer is "expensive"". This statement explains the facts behind the fees and some future FFNC initiatives.
You can now download the 2013 FFNC Handbook from our website's Downloads page.
It contains all the names, telephone numbers, addresses, procedures and rules and laws of the game you will need in 2013.
A high performance program will commence on Tuesday 19th March, Bangalow Sports Fields, 5.00pm – 6.30pm for female players born 2000-2003.
One of our up and coming female coaches Bethany Weaver will conduct the sessions on a weekly basis working on the main fundamentals of the ‘skill acquisition phase’ of player development. Players will train in preparation for the State Championships held in Coffs Harbour 21st – 23rd September 2013.

Plans have been finalised to conduct TWO Level 4 Referee courses in March and we strongly encourage you to identify and advise potential new match officials to assist with the demand on the number of referees required. We have lost a number of experienced people from last year and need new members, particularly seniors.
The cost of the course will be $50 per person.
If you know anyone who wants to become a new referee in 2013 please advise that they should contact firstname.lastname@example.org as registration for these courses is essential.

I updated the fees in the table on the page 2013 Registration, which had the different fee components.
Some of the fees were too low.
Now the numbers reflect what is actually being charged when you register.

Northern NSW Football have scheduled a Senior Coaching License course for 2-3 March 2013 for interested coaches. Here the particulars from an e-mail we received:
"Please be advised that we have established a “live-in” Senior Licence Coaching Course to be held at the Coffs Conference & Camping Centre on the 2nd & 3rd March 2013.
The structure of the course will follow that of a Senior Licence Course with Certificate I & II being completed over these 2 days. The assessment part of the course will take place back at the respective coaches club with the team they coach. It will be up to the coach to arrange a suitable time with their respective Football Manager for this assessment to take place.
It is our intention to arrange 2 Country teams to come in on a Saturday evening to play a match with groups of coaches being given specific areas to coach during the match to make the course more game related. e.g. playing out, defence, attacking etc.
I would encourage your respective zones to invite coaches who may be coaching your representative teams to undertake this course if they are not Senior Licence qualified.
There are limited spots available due to the intense nature of the course.
The cost of the course is $280 which includes the normal course cost of $136, one nights accommodation at the centre, and 4 meals being Lunch & Dinner on Day 1 and Breakfast & Lunch on Day 2.
We will be advertising this course on the web pages on Friday this week so if you have your own coaches who you want to complete the course please have them register at the link below ASAP and arrange payment with Nicole at reception in our office.

On Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th October at Bangalow playing fields, trials will be held for squads in the 11, 12, 13 & 14 boys’ age groups. The girls’ squads will come in at a later set date. A set amount of ‘skills tests’ will be the basis of the trials and Small Sided games to conclude. Data will be created on each player who trials, which will be used as a point of reference, things like these ‘tests’ can assist in a player physically identifying improvement throughout their career. The image on the left is the squad training schedule, not the trial schedule.

· Under 11 age group - 2003/2002 10.00am-12.30pm
· Under 12 age group - 2001 2.00pm - 4.30pm
Sunday 14th October
· Under 13 age group - 2000 10.00am - 12.30pm
· Under 14 age group - 1999 2.00pm – 4.30pm
Location of the training to be confirmed as FFNC am trying to attain a central location to the whole region.
